Robotic techno, test equipment drones, and shimmering modular textures: this evening is an unusual journey through machine-made music, created for humans.

Based in Berlin and loved worldwide, Hainbach creates analog-electronic sounds. Using vintage test gear, tape loops, and rare instruments, he transforms the “unmusical” into the musical.

Known for his viral inventions and live techno machines, Moritz Simon Geist brings his robotic instruments: little machines that click and pulse, building techno grooves from mechanics.

Modular synthesizer guru Jacq Noise throws hypnotic synth lines into the mix, delivering analog energy at the twist of a knob.

SYSTM closes the night with pounding techno and bass music: it’s Karsten’s first live concert with this setup, and everyone’s excited what he brings!

Throughout the night, patches.av fills the room with generative visuals.

SWEAT represents one of the purest forms of being alive. sweat is a vivid proof of energy, and energy translates into heat. it is a state of visible transformation, a process of becoming that connects body and mind. we do not consider sweat as something to be hidden or even prevented. we consider sweat as the most authentic expression of passion. It creates a story that goes beyond individual movement. sweat is a dialogue: on the dance floor, sweat embodies a nonverbal language and shared experience. sweat is a mentality of challenging limits and resisting. naturally, sweat stands for not giving up, for pushing boundaries when things get uncomfortable. sweat asks for dedication. it is the visible proof of trying. to sweat is to continue, to endure, and ultimately, to evolve. for us, sweat foreshadows achievement. in the context of nightlife, we perceive sweat as devotion. with the second volume of R0, we affirm life and energy on the dance floor. sweat follows the body in motion—beginning with house and unfolding into body-oriented techno. On Friday, September 12th, Other to the Front invites House of Grace to celebrate the beginning of a beautiful partnership with high energy, a lot of housy & bass groove, & an all FLINTA* lineup.
We are excited to present, for the first time in Berlin, a very special guest joining us directly from Boston: a dazzling selectress, an embodiment of skill and craft, and a passionate community builder.
Mx. Blaire (she/they) has a singular ability to enchant dancers with stirring, sometimes otherworldly sounds, grounded by strong basslines and beats. We'll be dancing in the temporary utopian zone-house Fitzroy, to remind people of our joy. We bet in the party as politics of the night, as an action where it’s possible to create, to desire, to feel new imaginaries that challenge, displace, question the imposed cisheterocapitalist imaginary; where we let ourselves be pierced by the music and dance—primal and wild feelings—, to dance with ferocity and asymmetry between the zigzagging and the torn, shaking the pre-established harmony with shameless gestures in search of agitation. Bodies at the service of pleasure to imagine, to build, to share new stories of resistance.
Dance possesses, from the beginning, the magical power of the marginal, the excluded, and the banished. We bet, in any case, on the mythology that has almost always lost; we will always be with the losers, by strategic and almost moral principle. Spin like the riot’s on the beat! ANNA Z has woven her presence into the tapestry of renowned clubs and events such as Berghain, Fuse, Tresor, Blitz, RSO, Gewölbe, Ohm and others. Her distinctive performances, overflowing with inventive sound design experiments, have become a defining feature of her influence within the dynamic musical environments. Born beyond the Arctic Circle ANNA Z´s first visual experiences emerged from an environment whose images were marked by the northern lights, the snow, the dark and dense forests and the animals within. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- J.Manuel born and raised in Berlin. Techno Producer, Live-set, Dj Techno, Ambient/ Experimental Electronic Music, all Live shows performed only using hardware including an A100 Modular System -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Viiaan, Sonic Alchemist from Mexico City, has transplanted her musical vision to the streets of Berlin.She wears many creative hats, serving as a producer, DJ, and the visionary steward of Voragine, a label that exists as a nexus for artists working at the intersections of experimental electronics, visual artistry, and the realms of club sound. Her career as a producer has been a sonic odyssey, punctuated by releases on esteemed labels like: Woozy Dub (Dublin), Sumac (Berlin/Sidney)Warehouse Rave (U.K.) Causal Chain ( Montreal), WVWV (CDMX), her own label and more. Each release unveils a distinct facet of her multifaceted artistry. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Ophélie is a French, Berlin-based DJ and producer with an affinity for low frequencies, intricate percussions and bass-heavy music in all its forms. As an early lover of dub music, UK techno, IDM, and illegal raves, their sound often finds itself at the intersection between dubstep, techno, IDM, with hints of psychedelic music and trance. They are interested in the fluid, organic, and often melancholic aspect of music, achieved through combining multiple layers of sounds, creating weird (poly)rhythms, and drawing inspiration from natural landscapes, such as the forest and ocean. As a producer, they enjoy experimenting with FX, textures, granular and generative sounds, and all different kinds of percussions. They released tracks on Pressure Dome, Bait, Early Reflex and traverse and have released their debut EP on hundert Records in February 2024. ophélie’s Refuge Worldwide residency, Therapy Dog, and event series at Kwia, allow her to experiment and explore the different genres she’s into, while often sharing the decks with friends and like-minded artists. As part of Open Music Lab, a non-profit collective offering free music and production courses for people from Berlin’s diverse communities to connect and create together, she's interested in ways to support emerging artists outside the mainstream, in the hope to build a more equitable music scene. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Retter, a Colombian DJ and Producer, based in Berlin. founder behind Técnica, collective and label. Initially drawn to techno, Salvador's musical exploration took flight within Berlin's dynamic landscape. As the city embraced him, his tastes evolved and expanded, leading him to explore new horizons and diversify his sound yet prevailing that hint of deep and introspective sound connected to his earlier roots. Under the alias Retter, Salvador covers a wide spectrum of electronic dance music. In the face of challenges posed by the Covid pandemic, Salvador found inspiration in organizing and performing at raves, which eventually led to the creation of Técnica. Since its inception, the releases of Técnica have garnered attention from fellow artists, and its events in underground and Illegal clubs have further solidified its presence and impact within the electronic music landscape.
