We are happy to announce our coming compilation album ‘Hypersea’. We will celebrate this body of work at Fitzroy September 6th. At the event there’ll be concerts by ill, Alto Aria and Varnrable, as well as a dj-set by Ryong 💦
‘Hypersea’ is a collection of pieces inspired by Astrida Neimanis ‘Hydrofeminism: Or, On Becoming a Body of Water’. A palette of artists, which we find inspiring, have been invited in to make a piece of music with the text as a point of departure, and it has been up to the artist to find a way to interpret the text and let it find its way into their work.
The album has become a collection of pieces containing a watery quest, fast footsteps, shifting and fragmented choirs, broken beats and hearts, soothing synthesisers, harsh winds, caring bodies, enchanting laughter, uplifting melodies, polyphonic saxophones, and long reverbs. ‘
Hypersea’ has been curated by Alto Aria and presents works by Hôy la, ilinx, Saltmother, Julia Becker, ill, Angel Wei, Lyra Valenza, Faber, Jason Lee, Bysund, Holger Seidelin, Astrid Nørgaard, KRY, Laenz, Varnrable, Messell, Alto Aria, and Skarv.

Monstera Black, live-performing her soul-devouring pop incantations; GЯEG, arriving from Paris with his hectic, jungly and sauvage dembow blends; MSJY, the shape-shifting bass royalty whose sets hardly ever leave a limb unshaken; Altjira, opening up a lysergic portal into the far end of experimental psych-tech and Rrrrrod, closing the night with a fat bag of low-end surprises. A night that happens to be unknown but not unknowable, presenting music that’s totally up your swamp. Unconditionally, unquestionably and unequivocally Deep beyond belief. It’s that time of year again. The sun is beating down and we’re back in Berlin for our annual summer soirée. We threw our first party in Berlin half a decade ago, and ever since it has always been the highlight of our summer! This August 26th, we will be taking you on another extended journey of high NRG sounds from dusk until dawn at Fitzroy. An intimate and fabled dancefloor on the banks of the river Spree, many of Berlin’s most beloved parties take place at Fitzroy. We are so excited and grateful for the opportunity to be here too. These parties are always an opportunity to platform artists we believe in, and bring together friends new and old. ROYAL HIGHNESS is back with Episode 2: Welcome again, our dancefloor royals, to the queerdom of Royal Highness! Prepare to laugh, dance, and revel in absurdity with us one more time. Date is already set: AUGUST 20, Sunday. When you are lost in the late afternoon hours of Sunday thinking where to dance to end the weekend or which after hours you should attend, we warmly welcome all dancing queers and queens for a day time dance marathon: from 3pm to 3am on Aug 20, Sunday at Fitzroy.
As promised, Royal Highness will not aim for a safe sound, but more for an intentional cacophony: fast transitions, unconventional sounds, stimulating vocals, bleeps, crunches, provoking samples and hypnotising drums.
