Green Room 006: Yushh & Miri Malek
Doors 23:00
GR is back on 06.06.25 for the first time at Fitzroy in 2025 — and we are excited to welcome two stellar guests to our next gathering: YUSHH A boundary-pusher and champion of the UK sound, Bristol-based Yushh has carved out a distinct space for her weird, wonky, and future-facing productions. Her dubbed-out, percussive atmospheric compositions are unmistakable—driven by system-shaking low ends and ghostly, shape-shifting melodies that unfold like sonic experiments in real time. Since her debut in 2019, Yushh has released on vital dance labels Rhythm Section, Wisdom Teeth, Banoffee Pies, and Well Street Records—each drop further cementing her place at the vanguard of forward-thinking club music.
We’re also BIG fans of her work curating the influential Pressure Dome imprint, which has become an essential outlet spotlighting talent in the experimental club sphere. With a residency on Noods, her taste continues to shape the Bristol underground and beyond — and we can’t wait for her to bring her low-end sonic experiments to Green Room. MIRI MALEK Miri Malek’s sets move fluidly between leftfield experimentation and UK-rooted bass cuts, weaving through grime, dubstep, and jungle with razor-sharp instinct and raw intensity. The Scottish-Iranian DJ and producer is resident at Berlin’s 90mil, and co-founder and curator of Dwam, an interdisciplinary collective launched in 2023 that nurtures connections across art forms, creating inclusive spaces for creative exchanges. As a producer, Miri crafts experimental bass music using granular synthesis, found sound, and voice manipulation—challenging convention while staying rooted in sound system culture.
We’re excited to experience Miri’s fearless energy behind the decks, blending wonked-out dubs, twitchy rhythms, and heavyweight low-end pressure.
