Workshop mit Clubcommission

Doors 18:00

Presented by Fitzroy x Clubcommission Berlin

⌁ Relaxed events, neurodiversity and accessibility within nightlife culture.

Relaxed events draw inspiration from the concept of “Relaxed Performances” originating in theatre contexts and adapt approaches to accessibility and inclusion for nightlife and cultural events.

The workshop explores how clubs and cultural spaces can become more accessible, sensitive and sustainable for neurodivergent people as well as for people living with chronic illness, chronic pain or invisible disabilities.

Together, participants will discuss the foundations of accessible event planning and explore practical approaches for implementing relaxed event structures within club environments.

Topics include:

• Why accessibility and inclusion are essential for cultural participation
• Neurodiversity and different sensory needs within nightlife culture
• Strategies for reducing sensory overload
• Communication, awareness and transparent event structures
• Quiet spaces, light and sound design, and social accessibility
• Practical tools for creating more inclusive nightlife environments

The workshop is aimed at clubs, promoters, awareness teams, cultural workers and anyone interested in creating more accessible and inclusive nightlife spaces.
