Welcome again, our dancefloor royals, to the queerdom of Royal Highness! Prepare to laugh, dance, and revel in absurdity and spring hottness with us one more time. Date is already set: May 12th, Sunday. When you are lost in the late afternoon hours of Sunday thinking where to dance to end the weekend or which after hours you should attend, we warmly welcome all dancing queers and queens for a day time dance marathon: from 3pm to 3am on May 12th, Sunday at Fitzroy. As promised, Royal Highness will not aim for a safe sound, but more for an intentional cacophony: fast transitions, unconventional sounds, stimulating vocals, bleeps, crunches, provoking samples and hypnotising drums. 24/10 Where Were You – A Ron Hardy Documentary Fundrasier Party
'I Was There' is a documentary in the making on Ron Hardy and the Rise of House Music from Chicago and the Midwest. The film's aim is to keep Ron's story alive for future generations as well as putting House's narrative back in the hands of its originators. The film will explore the early evolution of House and music as a response to inequality, racism, Reaganomics, the AIDS crisis and civil unrest. All entry fees will go towards shooting the film's next interview Chicago in November with the legendary Robert Williams - the man responsible for giving Ron Hardy and Frankie Knuckles their starts, as the founder of The Muzic Box and The Warehouse. The film is being made with the collaboration and supervision of Bill Hardy and the Hardy Family. Dress to sweat. We’re diving into a new chapter with a special one year anniversary party. Along with the new season, our sound will envolve into the dynamic and shapeshifting realms of bass, breakbeat, jungle and adjacent worlds. To mark this milestone, we’re super excited to welcome RONI, Nehza Records' visionary founder and Rinse FM powerhouse. Alongside her, we’ll be joined by Femme Bass Mafia’s member Katia FIS, our new resident, Berlin gem DJ Jones on closing duties as well as our OG resident B.BBY opening the night. Come celebrate our first birthday and embrace with us a new sonic adventure that will define the next phase of our journey.
