“Over the years we’ve spoken to heads across many circles, who’ve expressed a desire for a more comfortable and down-to-earth party atmosphere. This is our effort to create the space that we are hungry for. BLACK MASS’ success depends on the support of our extended community of dedicated dancers, music lovers, and friends of the culture.
BLACK MASS is an appropriation of the 19th c. term for a Satanic cult ceremony where “black” acts as antithesis to the moral “white”. We invert this white-centric dualism and employ it towards the propagation of a space for Others. It aims to create a heterotopic atmosphere of folks that prioritize movement, mindfulness, and ego death on the dance floor.
Rather than expending artistic energy and time waiting on doors that may never open, Black Mass seeks to build its own space of communion.”

instagram.com/alinapash/ Alina Pash ist eine kulturelle Grenzgängerin, die zwei vermeintlich gegensätzliche Elemente in ihrer Musik kombiniert: In ihrem Sound verbinden sich die geschichtsträchtigen Wurzeln der ukrainischen Folklore mit dem zeitgenössisch rauen Sound des US-amerikanischen Hip-Hop. Dazu rappt sie wahlweise auf Englisch, Ukrainisch und vereinzelt auch noch in anderen slawischen Sprachen. Sie tritt bei Konzerten häufig in traditionellen Folklore-Kostümen auf, agiert in ihrer energiegeladenen Stage-Performance zugleich jedoch wie ein wütender MC, der seine oftmals politischen Botschaften ins Mikro spuckt. Dies wirkt im ersten Moment auf viele Zuschauer recht exzentrisch, doch bei genauerer Betrachtung versteht man sehr schnell, dass Alina Pash letztlich vor allem eines ist: eine hoch authentische Künstlerin. Zwischen dem 30. März und 5. April, und damit rund um die voraussichtliche Veröffentlichung ihres vierten, derzeit noch unbetitelten Albums, kommt die 29-jährige Stimm- und Stil-Akrobatin für drei Konzerte in Berlin, Hamburg und Köln nach Deutschland.
